Who should attend the virtual Civic, Non-Profit & Government Career Fair?

  • Companies and organizations from various departments of local, state, and federal government, public health and safety, social justice, and non-profits
  • Current UMKC undergraduate and graduate students interested in careers in government, non-profit, social justice, equity and inclusion, public safety, or a related field
  • UMKC alumni working or interested in government, non-profit, or civic organizations

How to register for a virtual career fair on Handshake:

  1. Create a Handshake account (if you don’t currently have one) umkc.joinhandshake.com
  2. Search & register for the “UMKC Spring 2022 Virtual Civic, Non-Profit, and Government Career Fair” at UMKC
  3. Make your virtual fair scheduleby signing up for 1:1 appointments with company reps and employer-led group sessions

EMPLOYER PRE-VIRTUAL CAREER FAIR WORKSHOP

Haven’t attended a virtual fair on Handshake? Or need a Handshake refresher? Join the UMKC career services team via Zoom on Tuesday, February 1 from 12pm – 1pm (CST) for a pre-virtual career fair workshop. Agenda will include:

  • An overview of the Handshake platform
  • How to create your virtual fair schedule
  • Ways to promote your attendance to students
  • Best practices for post-virtual career fair follow-up

No RSVP necessary; Zoom info will be sent via email to all registrants 24 hours prior.


CAREER FAIR REGISTRATION FEE(S)*

  • Standard registration: $100

Registration Deadline: February 23, 2022 by 8am

Payments for all registrations are due by February 28, 2022

  1. Submit company’s registration for approval.
  2. Once approved, receive invoice for registration fee.
  3. Create your virtual fair schedule including 1:1 appointments and group sessions.
  4. Promote career fair on company website and social media (optional)
