PANELIST BIOS

Bandan Fitzgerald ’19
Brandan Fitzgerald is a software investor at Five Elms Capital, a leading growth equity firm that invests in fast-growing B2B SaaS businesses. Five Elms partners with growing, founder-owned software and services businesses, providing capital and resources to help companies accelerate growth and further cement their role as industry leaders. Brandan splits his time between meeting founders, running due diligence processes, and supporting portfolio companies.

Dan Kerr
Dan Kerr is a Partner at Flyover Capital where he leads new investment efforts. He is a passionate believer in the opportunity to build more world-class, venture-backed startups in the region. Each year he speaks with hundreds of founders around the region and supports several Flyover portfolio companies at the board level. Before Flyover he held roles at several Kansas City-area startups (iModules and Rhythm Engineering) and in the financial services sector (Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and UMB).

JoAnna Meunks ’17, CPA
JoAnna started her career as a CPA at Grant Thornton, a global public accounting firm, after graduating from UMKC with dual degrees in Accounting & Marketing. She later joined the 2020 national cohort of Venture for America which led to her next role in Capital Markets at Five Elms Capital. Now, JoAnna is building a tech-enabled services startup, Exponent. Exponent is creating playbooks, tools, and networks to connect finance & accounting professionals to opportunities within Venture Capital, Private Equity, and high growth companies.
