Accountant – Flow Controls – Marshalltown, Iowa

Reporting to the controller, the accountant will support the Flow Controls accounting organization. In this role, the accountant will be responsible for general ledger accounting and account reconciliations, supporting the month end close cycle, assist in internal and external audits, and perform other tasks as requested.
This role has the flexibility of a remote work schedule for up to three days a week. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.
AS AN ACCOUNTANT, YOU WILL:
Responsible for preparation of assigned monthly journal entries.
Responsible for performing account reconciliations to ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting standards.
Perform monthly analysis of key balance sheet reserves.
Provide support for annual internal and external audits by working cross functionally.
Assist with preparation of monthly financial documents for various entities and ensure accuracy.
Assess compliance of standard operating procedures and internal controls.
Assist in other AdHoc tasks as assigned.
Perform all duties in accordance with Company Business Conduct Guidelines.
Anticipated travel at <10%.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business field.
0 years of related experience in accounting or finance.
Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong business sense, critical thinking, and analytical/technical skills.
Possess the ability to multitask, prioritize, work independently and in a group setting.
Must be accounting focused with a good knowledge of GAAP.
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience working in a manufacturing industry preferred.
Oracle and/or Hyperion experience preferred.
