Job Title: Real Estate Development Associate

Location: San Luis Valley / Southern Colorado

Company Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager-to-learn individual to join our team as a Real Estate Development Associate.

Job Description:
As a Real Estate Development Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the development process of multifamily residential projects. You will assist senior team members with project management, market research, financial analysis, and other critical aspects of real estate development. This is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate to gain hands-on experience and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the analysis and underwriting of new development opportunities, including market research, financial modeling, and feasibility assessments.
  • Support the coordination of design, permitting, and construction processes for new multifamily developments.
  • Help track project progress and ensure deadlines are met by coordinating with internal teams, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct due diligence, including reviewing property records, conducting site visits, and preparing reports.
  • Prepare presentations and materials for lenders, investors, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update databases for project tracking, budgets, and timelines.
  • Monitor market trends and assist in identifying potential investment opportunities.
  • Assist with preparing project proposals, pro Formas, and financial forecasts.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree (or anticipated graduation within 3 months) in Engineering, Real Estate, Business, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in real estate development, specifically multifamily properties.
  • Basic knowledge of real estate finance, project management, and/or construction processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with real estate financial modeling is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  • A passion for real estate development and the multifamily sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship or prior experience in real estate development or a related field.
  • Familiarity with local zoning laws, permitting processes, and market conditions.
  • Knowledge of design and/or building best practices.
