About Roan Equity:
Roan is a software-focused growth equity firm investing in capital-efficient, founder-led businesses. We lead $3–$12.5M initial equity checks with the ability to scale up to $75M. We keep a low profile and are building a high-performance, long-term-focused investment platform.
The Role:
We’re looking for a highly motivated Analyst to join our small, entrepreneurial team in Charlotte. This is a unique opportunity to get broad exposure across sourcing, diligence, portfolio operations, and fund strategy at an early stage in the firm’s lifecycle. You’ll work directly with the Founder and other senior team members, with real responsibility from day one.
What You’ll Do:
- Source and evaluate new investment opportunities
- Conduct deep market and competitive research
- Support diligence processes including financial modeling and reference checks
- Help prepare investment memos and internal materials
- Assist with portfolio monitoring and reporting
- Support ad hoc firm-building initiatives (e.g., process design, events, platform work)
What We’re Looking For:
- 0–2 years of experience in investing, investment banking, management consulting, or a high-performance operating environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Self-starter with high curiosity and low ego
- A genuine interest in software and investing
- Desire to grow with the firm over the long term
