TFA Capital Partners is a boutique investment bank seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to support our team of seven professionals, six of whom are based in our headquarters in El Segundo, CA. The position requires a detail-oriented, self-starter who is capable of working with highly motivated and focused investment banking professionals and can excel at a wide range of day-to-day responsibilities. The Junior Investment Banking Analyst is an entry-level position dedicating approximately 75% of the employee’s time to supporting the bankers with deal execution and approximately 25% providing office-based support for the personnel, including office management and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be willing to work as needed on each of these responsibility areas, with a goal of transitioning to a Senior Analyst position within TFA. This is a great opportunity for exposure to investment banking in an entrepreneurial environment with the potential to gain valuable finance skills and experience based on ability, effort, and performance. This is a full-time, hybrid in-office and remote role.
Job duties include:
Investment Banking:
- Assist with the development of excel-based financial models and analyses
- Perform research on market trends and recent transactions
- Research the background of prospective and current clients
- Assist with presentations, preparing slides for Power Point books as well as producing books for meetings
- Miscellaneous research-oriented projects as needed
Office Management:
- Coordinating client and internal meetings, including arranging conference calls
- Executive travel coordination and expense reports
- General office administration and management
- Preparing and tracking invoices sent to clients
Qualifications:
Position requires an individual to be an independent self-starter able to work in a professional, small-office environment and be a team player with an ability to work under pressure with attention to deadlines. Must be detail-oriented with strong written and oral communication skills and be able to interface professionally with clients on a regular basis both in-person and on the phone. Technical skills required include proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word), phone system management and ability to use other standard office equipment. A BA/BS degree from a leading university with a major in finance, accounting, business or economics is required.
