Position: Financial Analyst / Business Analyst
Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000

Employment Type: Full-Time along with bonus compensation
Position Overview
UBIZ Venture Capital is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst / Business Analyst to support the operations for our Loan Fund, Venture Studio, and various programs offered by the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a passion for fostering business growth, and an aptitude for providing actionable insights. This role plays a critical part in helping UBIZ achieve its mission of driving economic development and empowering entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis
- Conduct financial assessments for loan applications, including cash flow analysis, risk assessment, and credit evaluations.
- Monitor and report on the performance of loan portfolios, identifying trends and potential risks.
- Prepare financial models, forecasts, and reports to inform decision-making for the Loan Fund and Venture Studio.
Business Analysis
- Analyze market trends, business needs, and industry benchmarks to support the design and execution of programs and services.
- Work closely with program managers to evaluate the impact and outcomes of UBIZ programs, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develop detailed business plans and feasibility studies for initiatives supported by the Venture Studio.
Operations Support
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure program goals align with financial and strategic objectives.
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, funding reports, and presentations.
- Create and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Loan Fund, Venture Studio, and other UBIZ programs.
Strategic Insights
- Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and program effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for new partnerships and initiatives to expand the reach and impact of UBIZ Venture Capital.
- Support strategic planning sessions with financial and business intelligence.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or a similar role, preferably in venture capital, banking, or economic development.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and various data analysis tools (provide examples)
- Experience with loan processing or fund management is a plus.
- Familiarity with entrepreneurship ecosystems and small business development.
